Today was my final day of training. Honestly, I didn't learn as much as I thought, but I learned a lot. I feel that I am as prepared as I can be at this point, and that my next teach will be experience.
Today I learned about Skype. I also learned about action planning, conflict resolution, and overcoming obstacles. I enjoyed the topic of action planning the most, because I felt that it was something that I needed to work on.
This training experience has been very rewarding. I learned so many new things. I also overcame a few obstacles of my own and was challenged to face some of my fears. I think this training was very productive and I believe that it has given me a good idea of what to expect when I begin working in my assigned school.

Day Four of TeachUp! Training
Training went well today, even though it started off a bit slowly. First we learned about open source software and about a few popular kinds, like Tux Math Space Commander. Our trainer even let us play with the programs a bit. Then, I learned about screen capturing and how to use it in the classroom. Then I had to get into a group and do a digital story, which is a story that uses different types of media, such as pictures and video. The digital story that my group did was on the subject of history. Our story was about the life and voyages of Christopher Columbus. We then saved and uploaded the digital story to our blogger accounts. Overall, today was exciting and I am eager to see what tomorrow will bring.
Day Three of TeachUp! Training
Today was another great day of training. First I had a review of powerpoint and its purpose in the classroom. I then learned about the internal DOT site, usa.dotrust.org, and its importance to us as we begin the internship. I also learned the right and wrong way to give an introduction on the first day of the internship. I learned how to introduce myself to a group and to individual teachers and principals. My favorite part of the day was when we got to use the Promethean Board. I was able to write on the board and even finished a sentence that was composed by my fellow interns. I enjoyed day three and hope that day four will be just as engaging.

Day Two of TeachUp! Training
Day two went well. Today I posted the podcast that I made with my group to my page on podbean.com. It seemed like a lengthy process, but once I reviewed the steps on my own, I finally understood. Even though I was successful at posting my podcast, it is still not one of my favorite topics.
I also learned about some of the basic features of Windows Movie Maker, and worked with another different group of interns to create a movie about professional dress. I really enjoyed using Movie Maker and hope that I will get the chance to use it in the classroom. I was a little disappointed because I thought that there would be more material covered, but was still glad to learn and become involved while doing so.
Even though there were some technical difficulties, I still had a great day. It taught me what is and is not appropriate in a professional setting, as well as how to deal with problems and to have a second plan.
